Amadou Onana (knee), Ian Maatsen (ankle) and Modo Cisse are out, and Leon Goretzka (knee) is not expected to make his debut until next week. Pau Torres (hamstring), Matty Cash (dead leg), Alysson (muscle), Marco Bizot (back) and 17-year-old Brian Madjo (ankle) will be assessed before kick-off. Johan Manzambi, who scored and assisted on his full league debut at Tottenham, is expected to keep his place on the left of midfield.

Brentford

Mikkel Damsgaard is out for a spell with an ankle injury sustained on international duty with Denmark, and Josh Dasilva (thigh), Antoni Milambo (knee) and Kaye Furo are also unavailable. Dango Ouattara is doubtful with an illness, and Mathias Jensen, Nathan Collins (calf) and Sepp van den Berg (groin) will be assessed before kick-off. Jannik Schuster, the 20-year-old summer signing, is expected to start again at centre-back alongside Kristoffer Ajer.
