Aston Villa are fearful of losing top scorer Tammy Abraham in the January transfer window with Premier League clubs circling the on-loan forward.

The twice-capped England international arrived at Villa Park on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea in the summer, and has scored 16 times in 20 Championship appearances for the club so far this season.

The 21-year-old previously enjoyed successful loan spells at Bristol City and Swansea, and The Daily Mail are reporting that a quartet of Premier League clubs have registered an interest in the young forward.

Wolves, Huddersfield, Burnley and Crystal Palace are all believed to be eyeing January loan moves for Abraham as they look to bolster their striking options.

Abraham scored twice in Tuesday’s 2-2 with draw with Queens Park Rangers at Villa Park, and the striker’s departure would be a major blow to Dean Smith’s side as they chase promotion to the top flight.

Villa currently sit 10th after an indifferent start to the season, five points adrift of the play-off places.
