AS Roma travel to Udinese on Saturday night for their latest Serie A fixture at the Bluenergy Stadium, with Gian Piero Gasperini’s men aiming to extend their unbeaten league record.
Roma arrive in strong form, sitting third in the standings on 21 points after going nine league matches without defeat. Their recent displays have been full of goals and confidence: a 4-2 win over Cagliari on Tuesday, an entertaining 3-3 draw with Napoli, and a dominant 4-0 triumph against Slovan Bratislava in Europe.
AS Roma team news
Gasperini is expected to make sweeping changes to his lineup as Roma balance a demanding run of fixtures, with a major UEFA Champions League meeting against Manchester United looming on November 3rd.
Paulo Dybala remains unavailable because of an ongoing calf issue, while captain Lorenzo Pellegrini, midfielder Manu Koné, and first-choice goalkeeper Mile Svilar are also sidelined.
With Svilar out, Pierluigi Gollini is set to continue between the posts.
At the back, Gianluca Mancini is likely to be given a rest, opening a place for Daniele Ghilardi alongside Evan Ndicka and Mario Hermoso in a three-man defence.
Wesley and Molina are expected to occupy the wide midfield roles, with Bryan Cristante and Marten de Roon operating through the middle.
In attack, young talent Rodrigo Mora should partner Matías Soulé in the creative positions, supplying chances for leading scorer Donyell Malen as Roma look to keep their unbeaten run alive.
