Nottingham Forest travel to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon looking for a first win in five Premier League matches.
Oliver Glasner’s side are 18th in the table and have lost three times in their last four league games, with a lack of cutting edge at the heart of their struggles; Forest have scored just six goals in eight matches this season, the joint-fewest in the division. A win at Brentford would lift them as high as 13th, having drawn 1-1 at Ipswich last weekend despite creating the better chances. Ipswich defender Leif Davis made crucial goal-line interventions to deny Forest what would have been a rare away win in that match.
Nottingham Forest team news
Igor Jesus and Nicolo Savona remain sidelined through injury. Nicolas Dominguez is working his way back from a muscle problem and Neco Williams is nearing a return after landing awkwardly on his elbow, though both remain doubts for Saturday. No further fitness concerns have been reported elsewhere in Glasner’s squad.
Dan Ndoye is the only Forest player to have scored more than once this season, while Morgan Gibbs-White has registered two assists and will look to provide the decisive moment his side have lacked in recent weeks. Glasner is set to continue with Liam Delap up front ahead of Chris Wood, though the forward has scored only once in the league since his move from Chelsea and will be eager to repay his manager’s faith. Forest face a testing November with Manchester City and Chelsea both to come, making a positive result at Brentford all the more valuable.
