Arsenal visit Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday afternoon on 15 points from six league games, looking for a third straight win in all competitions.

Mikel Arteta’s side beat Leeds United 2-1 after trailing, then beat Lille 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday, with Jurrien Timber and Eberechi Eze among the scorers. They have failed to score in the first half in each of their last five games in the league and Champions League, but have won nine of their 10 games in all competitions. Arsenal lost 3-0 at Brighton on 19 September in their only league defeat. They drew 0-0 at the City Ground in each of the last two seasons, and have won one of their last six visits.

Arsenal team news

Piero Hincapie (ankle), William Saliba (back) and Christos Tzolis are out, with Arteta conceding Hincapie faces weeks out. Martin Zubimendi (ankle) missed the Lille game and is much improved, Arteta said, but is not expected to start. Arteta said Arsenal are lighter without Tzolis but have options on the left, naming Eze and Noni Madueke.

Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz are expected to return to the attack after impactful cameos against Lille, with Madueke, Mikel Merino and Viktor Gyokeres dropping to the bench. Eze may keep his place on the left. Bruno Guimaraes and Declan Rice are likely to reprise their midfield roles, and Riccardo Calafiori is expected to return at left-back, which could drop Myles Lewis-Skelly to the bench. Ben White is expected to return at right-back, with Timber possibly rested to protect his fitness, and Ezri Konsa is predicted alongside Gabriel with David Raya in goal.

Arsenal predicted lineup

Arsenal possible starting XI: Raya; White, Konsa, Gabriel, Calafiori; Guimaraes, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Eze; Havertz
