Arsenal travel to face Inter Milan in the Champions League this evening in a huge clash at the San Siro.
It’s a first meeting between the two teams in over two decades, arguably the headline fixture of matchday four. Arsenal are aiming to bounce back from a tough run of results, with the Gunners having failed to win in three games in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta’s side have taken seven points from nine available in the Champions League, a record this evening’s opponents can match. Inter are the reigning Italian champions and boast one of the best defences in European football. Neither side has conceded a goal in the Champions League so far this season.
Arsenal XI vs Inter Milan – Predicted lineup and team news
Arsenal team news
Martin Odegaard is in contention to feature for Arsenal at the San Siro after boarding the flight to Milan. The Norway international has not featured since sustaining an ankle injury while representing his country during September’s international break. Odegaard could make the matchday squad, though it remains to be seen whether Mikel Arteta takes a curious approach with his captain.
There was less positive news on Declan Rice, who is out. The 25-year-old was not seen during Arsenal’s opening training session on Friday and will not be risked.
