Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Juventus star Sami Khedira after the midfielder was spotted at the Emirates.
The 32-year-old was in attendance for Arsenal‘s friendly defeat to Lyon on Sunday, with speculation emerging that the Germany international is close to a switch to North London.
A number of Italian journalists have suggested that the Gunners are interested in signing Khedira on a free transfer, with Tancredi Palmeri saying that a deal is close.

Khedira’s career has been blighted by injuries and he made just eight league starts for the Turin side last season. The Italian champions have significantly strengthened their midfield this summer with the free transfer additions of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot, and Khedira could find himself deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Maurizio Sarri.
Despite Khedira’s appearance at the Emirates, Arsenal boss Emery was coy over the prospects of the former Real Madrid midfielder becoming the club’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
“Khedira is a very good player but this is the first time I have heard his name mentioned,” Emery said following the Gunners 2-1 defeat to Lyon.
