Arsenal linked with €35m move for Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez

Arsenal are being linked with a €35m move for Real Madrid star Lucas Vazquez.

Unai Emery is believed to want to add to his forward options this summer, particularly in wide areas with the club having been strongly linked with Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.

According to AS, Emery’s search for additional firepower has seen him return to La Liga, with Arsenal being linked with a move for the Spanish international.

Real Madrid’s extensive summer recruitment has left Vazquez facing a difficult task to remain in Zinedine Zidane’s plans, and the 28-year-old could be deemed surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu.

According to the report Arsenal are prepared to offer the Spanish giants an initial €32m (£28.7m) with a further €3m (£2.7m) in add ons.

The winger came through the ranks at Real to establish himself in the first-team, having scored 20 goals in 183 appearances for the 13-times European champions.

Vazquez’s availability this summer is set to attract the attention of several leading European clubs, with Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain also credited with an interest.
