Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has opened up about his wonder save in Saturday’s North London Derby.
The German first denied Christian Eriksen from close range before producing a stunning stop to turn Moussa Sissoko’s follow up over the crossbar, just before half-time with the Gunners 1-0 up.
The game finished 1-1, with Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang missing a last-minute penalty to seal the points for Arsenal, however, the result may well have been different had it not been for Leno’s earlier intervention.
”I don’t know what happened, everything was so quick. Sissoko shot, I didn’t see the ball, I just reacted: I think the best saves are always those when you don’t quite know what happens!” Leno told arsenal.com when asked about the save.

The result leaves Arsenal in fifth place, two points behind Manchester United in the race for Champions League qualification.
Unai Emery’s side are next in action on Thursday night when they travel to face French side Rennes in the first-leg of their Europa League last-32 tie.
