Arsenal and Man United monitor Bayern Munich midfielder

Arsenal and Manchester United are among the clubs monitoring Ryan Gravenberch’s situation at Bayern Munich.

Gravenberch has struggled to make an impression since signing for Bayern Munich from Ajax last summer with the 20-year-old having made just three starts across all competitions.

The midfielder was linked with a move to Manchester United before leaving Ajax last summer, with Erik ten Hag having worked with Gravenberch at the Dutch side. Gravenberch broke into the Ajax side on a regular basis under Ten Hag and won three Eredivisie titles before his move to Munich.

United are understood to remain keen on a deal to sign Gravenberch, though could face competition with Sky Sports Germany reporting that his lack of football has also alerted Arsenal.

The midfielder’s future will depend on new head coach Thomas Tuchel, who was named as Julian Nagelsmann’s replacement at the Bundesliga champions last month.

Bayern have already agreed a deal to sign Konrad Laimer on a free transfer from RB Leipzig ahead of next season, an addition that will increase competition for a first-team place at the Allianz Arena.

Gravenberch missed out on a place in the Netherlands’ World Cup squad due to his lack of minutes this season and could be keen on an exit in order to boost his international ambitions.
