The former England international has now scored in six club debuts during the course of his career.
Jermain Defoe made his first start for Rangers on Wednesday in a hugely important clash with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership, and it only took him 12 minutes to find the net.
That goal continues the diminutive forward’s knack of scoring on his club debut, having done so for six of the seven teams for which he has lined out. Can you guess the odd one out?

It would, of course, have to be Sunderland, but it is a remarkable record nonetheless, even if it is incomplete.
Defoe’s propensity for announcing himself to a fan base on day one goes right back to the beginning of his career, when he found the net just 7 minutes into his first game for West Ham United at 17 years of age.
Now 36-years-old, the Englishman has joined up with Steven Gerrard to help the Gers in their quest to end Celtic’s domination in the Scottish league.
It was a bittersweet debut however, as Rangers lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock while Celtic beat St. Mirren 4-0.
