Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that he wants a quick return to football management amid speculation linking him with Manchester United.
The French legend has been out of work since he stunned the world by announcing his resignation from Real Madrid just days after leading Los Blancos to their third successive Champions League crown.
He has been heavily linked with taking over at Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho having come in for plenty of criticism this season after what was a disappointing start to the 2018/19 campaign, losing two of their opening four Premier League games.
That speculation about Mourinho’s future has quietened slightly after United got back to winning ways with a convincing win over Burnley last weekend, but Zidane’s comments could prompt United into action after he said he wants a quick return to management.
“Yes, surely. Soon I will return to training because it is what I like and is what I have done all my life,” he told TVE after watching his son play for one of Real Madrid’s youth sides.
