Tyrick Mitchell has said his feeling is ‘pure delight’ Crystal Palace’s Europa Conference Leagues success.
Oliver Glasner’s side beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0 in the Conference League final on Wednesday, sealing silverware success in their first-ever European campaign.
Palace qualified for the competition after winning the FA Cup last season, the club’s maiden major trophy. The South Londoners are now celebrating back-to-back seasons with major trophies and Mitchell admits the club’s achievements have been unbelievable.
Speaking to TNT Sports, the left-back said: “It’s something you dream of, but you never think it will be reality.
“I’m just proud of everyone past and present who has helped us on this journey.
“We played 60 games this season and for so many of us our bodies are not used to it.
“We lost a couple of games in this competition, but if that meant we’d get here and win it… we’d do it all over again.
“It’s amazing, it’s the same feeling that we had when we won the FA Cup, pure delight, pure emotions.
“We’re just happy we were able to get over the line.”
