The January transfer window slammed shut in customary fashion on Deadline Day, albeit without much fanfare from Premier League clubs.Â
The drama of Jean-Philippe Mateta’s failed move to AC Milan did little to make up for what was a tame final few hours of the window, with very few big moves going through.
Indeed, it was marked by a dearth of top-flight signings in general, with only a small clutch of clubs confirming incomings on Monday. Remarkably, not even Chelsea signed anyone, with their only arrival being Mamadou Sarr after he was recalled from his loan at sister club Strasbourg.
The biggest signing of all was Jorgen Strand Larsen’s £43 million move from Wolves to Crystal Palace, while the Eagles failed to complete the signing of Dwight McNeil from Everton. Liverpool did announce the capture of Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes for £55m, although that will only go through in the summer.
Meanwhile, Axel Disasi is poised to swap Chelsea for West ham United, and there are a number of other deals that have yet to be completed at the time of writing, so we will update this list as and when confirmations come in.
