Lucas Paqueta has appeared to send a message on his future after scoring in West Ham’s 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest.
West Ham bounced back from a nightmare start to the season with an impressive win at the City Ground on Sunday.
Late second-half goals from Jarrod Bowen, Paqueta and Callum Wilson sealed the club’s first win of the campaign.
Graham Potter’s side scored three times inside the final six minutes to sucker punch Forest, securing a win that lifts the East Londoners out of the relegation places.
Paqueta has been subject of speculation this week, with a deal reportedly agreed between West Ham and Aston Villa for the Brazil international.
However, the 28-year-old appeared to dismiss the suggestion that he could leave before Monday’s transfer deadline. After scoring the second from the penalty spot, he celebrated by pretending to throw away a phone and kissing the West Ham badge.

Potentially keeping Paqueta will be a welcome boost to Potter as he looks to rebuild from a tough start to the season.
