Manchester United fans have taken to social media after he endured a nightmare start to life at Arsenal.
The Armenian moved to the Emirates last Monday as part of a straight swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez move to the Emirates, but the lack of FA Cup action for the Gunners have meant that he has had to wait over a week to make his debut.
Mkhitaryan started on the bench for Arsenal for his first game, coming on as 60th minute substitute for Mohammed Elneny with the scores at 2-1 to the Premier League’s bottom club, Swansea City. However, his debut got off to a nightmare start as Swansea forward Nathan Dyer grabbed a goal within 60 seconds of his introduction, with the Swans going on to maintain their lead and grab all three points.
Mkhitaryan has taken a dig at Jose Mourinho earlier this week, claiming he couldn’t wait to play ‘offensive football at Arsenal’ – a clear jibe at Mourinho’s perceived more defensive style.
United fans wasted no time in taking to social media to remind the world that their ‘defensive’ football actually beat Swansea 4-0 in their corresponding fixture…

Henrikh Mkhitaryan says the chance to "play offensive football" was one of the main reasons he agreed to join Arsenal from Manchester United.

And even some Arsenal fans joined in…
Mkhitaryan: "I think the way that Arsenal play [makes] it a dream for every player to come here and play offensive football."
A lot of words to describe Arsenal tonight and offensive is definitely one of them

So Mkhitaryan joined Arsenal because he wanted to play offensive football.
Full time Swansea 3 – 1 Arsenal
