Five of the spiciest football fixtures to watch this weekend, featuring Ruben Amorim’s debut at Manchester United and seismic Serie A showdowns.
Here are our five must-watch games of the weekend.
5️⃣ spicy fixtures you must watch this weekend 🌶
Ipswich Town vs Manchester United
There is cautious optimism around Manchester United, following the appointment of Ruben Amorim. The charismatic coach has arrived with a growing reputation from Sporting Lisbon, tasked with turning around the fortunes of a fallen giant.
Amorim’s ideologies are exciting but could take time to implement at Old Trafford. Ipswich Town, buoyed by beating Spurs before the international break, will want to burst the bubble.

Napoli vs Roma
Napoli lead the title race in Serie A in one of the most gripping starts to a season in memory. Just two points separate Antonio Conte’s side from Juventus down in sixth, with each and every point crucial in a packed top half.
Roma started the season with hopes of involvement in that title-chasing pack, but sit 12th in the table and are onto their third manager of the campaign. The wily Claudio Ranieri has been coaxed out of retirement to take on his third stint with the capital club.

Chelsea vs Manchester United (WSL)
Someone’s 0 has got to might go.
The WSL’s unbeaten outfits collide this weekend as Chelsea take on Manchester United in their respective games in hand. Chelsea are looking formidable and boast a perfect record of 11 wins from 11 games in all competitions so far this season.
Manchester United can move up to third with a win and have been stubborn opposition this season. The Red Devils are unbeaten after seven games (W4, D3) and have the division’s best defence with just two goals conceded.

AC Milan vs Juventus
Italian icons meet this weekend as AC Milan host Juventus at the San Siro. The Serie A giants are each aiming to return to former glories this season and Juventus are firmly embroiled in a six-team tussle at the top.
Milan have dropped a little off the pace but certainly have the quality to get back into the mix. A Champions League win at Real Madrid earlier this month showed what the Rossoneri are capable of.

Manchester City vs Tottenham
There’s almost always entertainment on offer when Manchester City host Tottenham Hotspur, with goals often on the menu.
The last three league meetings at the Etihad have averaged 5.6 goals per game, including a thrilling 3-3 draw between the teams last season. Each know only one way of playing and, with two front-footed teams seeking a response to setbacks before the international break, the stage is set for a cracker.
