Liverpool boss Klopp gives Fabinho update

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been discussing why Reds fans are still yet to see big money summer signing Fabinho in action so far this season.

The Brazil international midfielder is yet to feature in the Premier League so far this campaign, with Klopp insisting that the former Monaco man needs to time to adjust to his preferred style of play.

However, Liverpool’s German coach did hint that £43 million Fabinho will begin to feature after the international break when the cup competitions begin and clubs will start to play two games in a week.

“The team is good, he needs time to adapt. He could have been in the squad, but it’s quite difficult when they are all fit,” Klopp said after his sides 2-1 victory over Leicester last weekend.

“It’s good to have the situation, but sometimes one needs more time or the others are already used to it. That’s the only reason. He will come back. He already makes big steps in the last few weeks.

“Hopefully he will have games for Brazil, then it’s games, games, games in the whole of September – I don’t know how many but a lot.”
