Chelsea assistant Gianfranco Zola says the club see no reason why Callum Hudson-Odoi should be dropped from squad amid interest from Bayern Munich.
The teenage winger has been courted by the German club in recent weeks, and speculation has been rife that the Englishman will leave Chelsea in search of more playing time.
Club legend Zola says the Blues are looking to keep hold of one of their most talented young players, however:
“We’re doing all we can [to keep him]. He has a lot of strong players next to him, but we’re still finding the space for him to play.’’
Zola added that Hudson-Odoi’s attitude has not turned sour in the meantime:
“There are many big clubs in Europe with 18-year-olds who don’t play as much as him.
“Did he look like he didn’t want to play? We saw his attitude in training where he played really well and scored a goal similar to that. He didn’t show any signs why he shouldn’t play today.”
