LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that Manchester United will stop Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City from claiming the title, well for this weekend at least.
The Manchester giants go head-to-head on Saturday evening, with City knowing that a win over United will see them confirmed as champions.
However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who only left Manchester United last week for the sunshine state of California, has tipped his former teammates to delay City’s coronation.
“The are pumped, they are looking forward to a game like that because obviously City is ahead by many points and the rest of the league is not playing for the Premier League trophy, they are playing for the Champions League and the positions behind City,” he told Sky Sports.
“Obviously somebody wants to give City a shaking like Liverpool did the other day.
“I think United are preparing very well and I know the coach he’s very motivated for these kind of games and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want them to become Champions against them, and he’ll make sure of that
“At the end [of the day], you just want to have a good game, an intense game and hopefully nothing crazy happens”
A draw on Saturday would see the ‘title race’ continue for at least another week, while a victory for United would see City still require two more wins.
