Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has urged club president Florentino Perez to make a move for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante.
According to Spanish publication Don Balon the French manager is a huge admirer of the Chelsea midfielder and wants to add him to his squad of stars this summer.
Zidane is not short of options in his midfield, with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro all getting regular game time with the La Liga side. However, the disciplinary and injury record of the Brazilian has left the Real Madrid boss considering his options, with Kante ranking high on his list of options.
Kante moved to the Premier League two years ago, and has already racked up two winners medals with both Leicester City and Chelsea. He was also named as the PFA Player of the Year this season.
A move for Kante could be funded by the sale of James Rodriguez and Isco, both who have been linked with moves away from the Bernabeu this summer.
Real Madrid have also been linked with making a move for Kante’s Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard, whilst Chelsea are believed to be interested in signing Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
