Zinedine Zidane has ruled out Manchester United target Raphael Varane leaving Real Madrid this summer.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for French defender Varane, with speculation increasing that the Spanish giants would be willing to part with the 25-year-old in the next transfer window.
Varane, who won the World Cup with France in 2018, has established himself as one of the world’s finest defenders in eight years in Madrid and United have held a long-standing interest in the player.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been linked with a big-money move to bring Varane to the Premier League, but Madrid manager Zidane has moved to dismiss any speculation the centre-back could leave the Bernabeu.
“I don’t want a Madrid without Varane,” said Zidane.
“He’s a young player, he’s been here for eight years, he’s doing fine.
“There are many things that come out [in the press].
“He didn’t say anything to me.
“He’s at the best club in the world and he knows it, he’s won a lot of things.”
