Crystal Palace star Wilfred Zaha has been tipped to leave the club this summer by former manager Frank de Boer.
Zaha has been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park for a number of transfer windows, with Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea all said to be interested in his signature. He has so far rejected the chance to move away from the club for a second time, having already left once for what would turn out to be a highly unsuccessful spell Manchester United back in 2013.
However, speaking as a guest in the BT Sport studio, the former Palace boss said he didn’t think he would be at the club next season:
“Maybe he went too young to a big club and there was pressure around him and maybe mentally he was not ready for that, but mentally now I think he’s much stronger, [he] knows really what he wants, and for me, he can be one of the most spectacular players in the Premier League and be an amazing star for the Premier League.
“I don’t think [they can keep him]. If he wants to make the next step to the next level he has to choose a big club, with better players around him and he will grow and grow.
“He’s a fantastic person and a fantastic player.”
De Boer was sacked as Palace boss after just five games in charge, having failed to gain a single point or guide his side to score a single goal.
