A late goal from Lucas Torreira gave Arsenal a narrow 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the Emirates Stadium today in the Premier League.
The Gunners continued their impressive form and are still unbeaten since mid-August.
Granit Xhaka had a particularly good day in Arsenal’s midfield and stated after the game that his side had just completed a ‘perfect week’ after two wins and a draw from their last three fixtures.
“It was a perfect week for us I think. Tottenham at home, Manchester United away, today… four games and 10 points. I think it is perfect for us,’’ Xhaka told the BBC.
“We still have a lot of things to improve, of course, but we can be happy. It is not normal to go 21 matches unbeaten.”
Xhaka also believes that this Arsenal team have a resilience about them that means they never give up, no matter what stage the game is at.
“We have to believe from the first minute to the end and today again we showed a good character,” said Xhaka.
Arsenal have just recently forced their way into the top four of the Premier League.
The team is enjoying a fresh approach after Unai Emery replaced the long-serving Arsene Wenger during the summer.
