Wilshere linked with Serie A switch

Jack Wilshere is a wanted man after announcing that he will be bringing an end to his Arsenal career this summer, with report’s suggesting that he he is wanted over in Serie A.

The Gunners midfielder has spent his entire career with the North London club to date, but has announced earlier this week that he will finally look to start a new chapter of his career away from the Emirates.

The 26-year old had enjoyed a decent season for the Gunners under now departed manager Arsene Wenger, seemingly getting over his long standing injury woes to make 38 appearances in all competitions, his highest since the 2010/11 campaign.

Despite that though, England boss Gareth Southgate decided against taking him to this summers World Cup in Russia with doubts still remaining regarding his fitness.

Now, with new Arsenal boss Unai Emery having made it clear to Wilshere that he is not part of his plans, he has decided to move on.

He has been linked with moves to the likes of Everton, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Wolves, but reports today suggest that he could be a target for Italian giants Juventus.

The Sun claims that the Serie A champions are interested in making Wilshere their latest high profile free transfer, as while he may not be first choice in their lineup, it would represent an opportunity to give him some game time, and subsequently make a profit on him by selling him back to an English club in the future.
