Willian insists he is committed to Chelsea and never wanted to leave

Chelsea attacker Willian has insisted that he remains committed to the Blues and that he never wanted to leave Stamford Bridge.

Brazil international Willian was the subject of rumoured interested from Manchester United, Barcelona, and Real Madrid this summer, but the 30-year-old is adamant that he never wanted to depart West London.

Willian joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala for £30 million in 2013, with the talented attacker having won two Premier League titles so far during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official website Willian admitted that he is happy to stay with the Blues for as long as possible and he also revealed that he feels he is entering his prime years as a player.

“A lot of people they say a lot of things in the press, but I never said that I want to leave Chelsea, never.” Willian said.

“Always I say that I want to stay at Chelsea as long as possible, and I am happy to stay here.”

“I am 30 years old and I arrive in the best moment of my career, so I just want to continue in the same way, to play the same or better than last season.”
