Willian discusses the ‘freedom’ Sarri gives Chelsea attackers

Chelsea winger Willian has revealed that he has much more freedom playing under new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri than he is afforded at international level with Brazil or under previous Stamford Bridge boss Antonio Conte.

Sarri’s side has started this season in superb form winning all four of their opening four Premier League fixtures, with several Chelsea players revealing recently just how much they are enjoying their football under their highly-rated Italian coach.

“I think here at Chelsea we have more freedom to change position,” Willian told Chelsea’s official website.

“One time to go on the left and then to change to the right. Brazil was more static, I have to play more on the right and Neymar more on the left, so we cannot change positions. That is the difference.

“I don’t have any problem at all to play on the left or on the right. I like to play in these two positions. I can play on the left and I can play on the right, it depends on the manager. If he says to me to play on the left I am going to play, and if he says to me to play on the right I am going to play. I don’t have problems.”
