In form Chelsea winger Willian has admitted he wants to stay at the club, providing that they still want him there.
The Brazilian has been in sensational form, scoring five goals in his last seven appearances, but has not always been a first choice of Antonio Conte, who has only included him in 14 of the club’s league games this season.
He has been linked to Manchester United due to his good relationship with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
Speaking in and interview, Willian admitted that he was happy at Stamford Bridge and hoped to stay, but was also prepared to leave should the club no longer want him:
“My goal is to stay here at Chelsea,” he told Brazilian outlet Planeta SporTV.
“Unless Chelsea does not want me anymore, then you have to find another club.
“Staying here for many more years. Even if it is possible to renew contract. We have not talked about this yet. It might happen. I’m adapted.
“I’m five years old at the end of the season, I’ve won titles. Anyway, I have the fan’s affection too.
“I intend to continue here until the end of my contract, to renew, to continue for more years.”
Willian has an opportunity to extend his goalscoring record today as Chelsea take a trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Champions elect, Manchester City.
