Crystal Palace are close to completing the £15m signing Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar according to reports.
The striker is reportedly available in this January transfer window, and his agent has been working hard to alert a number of clubs to that fact.
According to the Guardian, the Eagles are hopeful of securing the signing of the 24-year-old in a move which would take the pressure thre clubs growing injury crisis.
Roy Hodgson has made no secret of his need to strengthen his squad, claiming he could need to add as many as seven new faces this month.
Babacar is yet to start game for the Viola this season, but has made 15 appearances from the bench, scoring four goals.
West Ham have also been linked with a move for Babacar, with a number of their strikers being linked with a move away from the London Stadium. Andy Carroll has been linked with a shock move to Chelsea, Javier Hernandez has been linked with a return to Man Utd or to the MLS, while Diafra Sakho is keen to leave, with Crystal Palace and Swansea keen on signing him.
West Ham are also in the market for a new central midfielder, with Bournemouth’s Harry Arter, Newcastle’s Jonjo Shelvey, and Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker just some of the names to have been linked with a move to the London Stadium.
