Manuel Pellegrini has praised Robert Snodgrass after theย Scotland winger’s return to the West Ham first-team this season.
Snodgrass signed for West Ham from Hull City in January 2017, but after falling out-of-favour was loaned to Championship side Aston Villa for the 2017/18 season, helping them to reach the play-off final.
With Pellegrini replacing David Moyes as manager at The London Stadium this summer, the 31-year-old was handed a lifeline at the club by the Chilean and has impressed since returning to the fold.
โThere were very few words that I spoke with him at the beginning of the season. I gave him some demands about his weight, about his work.โโ Pellegrini told the press ahead of his sides clash against Cardiff tonight.
โI always found him a good player, just will depend on what he wants, if he had a spot here for the season.
โHeโs a very professional player. Heโs doing it very well because he had desire to be here.โ
