West Ham United are closing in on a triple transfer deal as part of an active start to the January transfer window.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are 18th in the Premier League and keen to strengthen the squad in their survival bid. The focus for the East Londoners is goals, with three deals already close to completion.

West Ham have agreed a €24m fee (£20.8m) with Portuguese side Gil Vicente for forward Pablo. The 22-year-old has been in brilliant form this season, with 10 goals in 13 league appearances in Portugal’s top flight.

A fee has also been reached with Lazio for fellow forward Taty Castellanos. The 27-yer-old, who has two senior caps for Argentina, is set to move to the London Stadium on a long-term deal. Fabrizio Roman has revealed that the fee involved is €29m (£25.2m).

Finally, West Ham are also closing in on a short-term deal for Adama Traore. The Spaniard is set to cross the capital from Fulham on an initial six-month contract, according to Ben Jacobs.

That deal will see Traore reunite with Espirito Santo, with the pair having worked together previously at Wolves. There’s also interest in out-of-favour Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling. However, West Ham’s preference is a loan, while Sterling is reluctant to move without a permanent clause.

West Ham are currently four points from safety in the Premier League.
