West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has provided an update on the fitness of Jack Wilshere ahead of his side’s clash with Crystal Palace this weekend.
Summer signing Wilshere has struggled for fitness since his free transfer move from Arsenal in July, with the England international set to miss this weekend’s fixture with a slight ankle problem.
“Wilshere is not 100% comfortable so he won’t be available, but I think it will just be for this game,” Pellegrini told the media after the 3-0 win over Cardiff.
“We have a squad and now is the time for other players to take their chance.”
Another player who will definitely missing for West Ham is star forward Marko Arnautovic.
The Austrian limped out of Tuesday night’s win over Cardiff with a hamstring complaint and is likely to be out until the New Year.
West Ham host London rivals Palace this weekend in good form and will be looking for their third consecutive league win.
