The early Premier League game on Saturday promises to be an interesting meeting between West Ham United and Manchester United, in London.
West Ham’s form has been improving in recent weeks while Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United just can’t seem to get out of first gear, so far, this season.
The Hammers’ boss, Manuel Pellegrini, spoke to the media today for his pre-game press conference. Pellegrini was asked to give an update on the condition of Marko Arnautovic after the talismanic attacker picked up an injury at Goodison Park a couple of weeks ago.
He missed West Ham’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea, last Sunday, as well as their 8-0 hammering of Macclesfield in the League Cup, during the week.
“Marko worked on Wednesday. He worked with the squad, so I think he is 100 per cent fit for tomorrow.” Pellegrini told reporters.
This is great news for all West Ham fans. Arnautovic had started all five league games up to that win at Everton when he picked up the injury. The Austrian international is generally central to everything The Hammers create going forward and has already bagged three goals and one assist in the Premier League.
Pellegrini will be delighted to have him back and he will most likely come straight back into the starting eleven to face Manchester United.
