West Ham United and Crystal Palace will look to get over their disappointment of missing out on Chelsea bound Michy Batshuayi by targeting former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.

The Dutchman left Manchester United on the cheap last summer after falling out of favour with Louis van Gaal, and received a hero’s welcome upon his arrival at Fenerbahce.

However, the 34-year old had a torrid time at the Turkish club and could be about to head back to the Premier League with West Ham and Crystal Palace chasing the strikers signature.

Despite his various problems at Fenerbahce, including having arguments  with the manager, Van Persie scored 20 goals in 45 appearances for the club, and could be available for as little as £4million.
