West Bromwich Albion have joined the race to sign Liverpool striker Christian Benteke, according to reports.
Crystal Palace have been one of only a few Premier League clubs who have been linked with making a move for the Belgian striker, whilst Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas are unwilling to pay Liverpools asking price.
However, reports today suggest that the Eagles have now been joined by the Albion in the race to sign Benteke.
With Saido Berahino wanting to leave the club, and a move for West Ham forward Diafra Sakho collapsing due to a failed medical, West Brom have refocussed their attentions and are preparing to make a move for the striker.
It is claimed that West Brom will make a £25million move for Benteke, although we don’t see why that would be accepted when Crystal Palace have already seen higher offers turned down.
Liverpool are looking to recoup the vast majority of the £32.5million the shelled out on Benteke last summer when he moved to Anfield from Aston Villa.
