Wenger admits his team need to ‘surprise’ Man City

Arsenal face Manchester City in the eagerly awaited Carabao Cup final at Wembley tomorrow.

Speaking in the build up to game, The Gunners coach Arsene Wenger has admitted that his side will need to raise their game to unexpected levels to beat Pep Guardiola’s superb side.

“We have to raise our level to create the surprise,”

“City are dominating the league in the heads of everybody and so maybe we are more underdogs now than in the semi-final [last season],” he said.

Despite being resounding underdogs going into tomorrow’s final, Arsenal have a superb recent record at Wembley, winning their last nine games at England’s most famous stadium.

However, runaway Premier League leaders Man City have been in inspired form this season, so Arsene Wenger’s side will have to put in a memorable performance to have any chance of coming away with a victory.
