Wayne Rooney could still leave Manchester United within the next ten days.
Despite the Transfer window being closed in the Premier League, Chinese clubs are still able to complete signings all the way up until the 28th February before their season gets underway.
The Telegraph claim that Manchester United could allow Rooney to move to China, this month, although a deal is more likely in the summer.
Options
The England skipper does have a number of offers on the table from Chinese Super League clubs. Beijing Guoan and Guangzhou Evergrande are two clubs who are believed to be interested in the 31-year old, who would earn a staggering £32million-a-year! (£615,000-a-week)
Football Faithful brought you the news almost one month ago that Mourinho was willing to let Rooney move to China, and this situation has not changed. He would prefer his Captain to stay until the summer window when he can find a replacement.
If Rooney did leave, it would leave Manchester United short up front, with only Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford left as the club’s main striking options, although Anthony Martial could play there too.
Rooney was ruled out of Thursdays Europa League game with a mysterious ‘muscular’ injury.
