The Hornets have rejected the huge bid from Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG for Odion Ighalo.

The Nigerian was linked with several moves away from Vicarage Road last season, including to Manchester United and Arsenal, after the striker started the season in great form, scoring 15 goals by the end of January before his form dried up.

The bid comes just days after the Chinese club broke the Asian transfer record by signing Brazilian striker, Hulk.

Watford have also rejected bids from Champions Leicester City for Ighalo’s strike partner Troy Deeney as they look to build on last seasons 15th placed finish.
