Watford boss Gracia praises his players after Crystal Palace win

Javi Gracia was eager to praise the effort and performance of his players after they came from a goal down to take all three points against Crystal Palace today in the Premier League.

Gracia felt his team responded well after going a goal down in the first half. The Hornets turned things around after the break with Craig Cathcart cancelling out his earlier own-goal and then Tom Cleverley scoring a superb winner inside the last 20 minutes.

“I think we had the confidence during the game, we started by conceding an own goal but after that, the level was the same and in the second half we got the reward with two amazing goals. I am very happy with the performance and attitude of my players.’’ Gracia told BBC’s MOTD.

“All the games against Crystal Palace are always very equal, today was again. After conceding the first goal it was more difficult but we knew this team are conceding more goals in this period and it was our moment. We created enough chances to win the game.”

Watford have lost just one game in their last eight and currently sit in 7th position in the Premier League, six points behind Manchester United.
