Pep Guardiola met with the media yesterday ahead of Manchester City’s last game of the season on Sunday against Southampton.
City still have the chance to achieve 100 points in the league which has never been done in Premier League history. Pep somewhat played down the importance of this record stating that the main focus is to win at the weekend regardless of what achievements are gained from it.
Guardiola found it difficult to pick his favourite moment of the season, but he said his team winning 18 games in a row was really important in claiming the title.
The Spanish manager said it was ridiculous that young players Brahim Diaz and Phil Foden won’t get Premier League winners medal, as in his eyes they are champions regardless of having medals or not.
Guardiola says that he thinks Sergio Aguero will stay at Manchester City next season, however he also stressed that you can never be sure in football.
