Coming off winning the Premier League title last week Pep Guardiola met with the press ahead of Manchester Cityโs game against Swansea on Sunday.
The Manchester City manager had some nice words for Arsene Wenger after the Arsenal Manger announced heโs leaving the club at the end of the season. Pep said the Premier League wouldnโt be what it is today without people like him and then wished him the best for the future.
Pep talked about the happy feeling he felt when they won the league, however he stressed the need to remain focused. As he was quick to move on to talk about defending the title next year. He also played down the importance of the records his team could break, but admitted it could be a good motivator for his team to keep concentration.
He touched on Sergio Agueroโs injury stating that heโs out for four or five weeks and theyโre going to try and get him ready for the World Cup.
He also commented on the rumours that Andres Iniesta could be leaving Barcelona at the end of the season. He said he doesnโt know if the rumours are true, but he gave a lot of praise to the Spanish international and called him a top player that was a joy to manage.
When asked about his contract situation he didnโt reveal much, only that heโll speak to the club at the end of the year to discuss his future.
