WATCH: Mourinho claims Conte beef is now over

Speaking to the press ahead of his sides Premier League fixture against Stoke at Old Trafford on Monday night, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho gave an update on his ongoing feud with Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte.

The Portuguese coach stated that he will no longer respond to what he believes are insults the manager of his former club has directed his way, and will show his contempt by no longer speaking about the issue and now considers the story over.

When quizzed about United’s interest in Alexis Sanchez, Mourinho said he feels it is disrespectful to talk about players who are contracted to other clubs.

He also reiterated that both he and the club are not big fans of signing players in the January transfer window, although if the right player becomes available, that will not stop United making a move.

Mourinho also gave an update on the fitness of Zlatan. The 36-year-old is expected to be out until the end of January or the start of February, with the striker suffering some complications after his rapid return from the serious knee injury he picked up at the end of last season.
