Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp met with the press today in preparation for their last Premier League game of the season against Brighton.
For the first time in a while Liverpool didn’t have a midweek game which Klopp says should help his team.
The German coach was full of praise for Trent Alexander-Arnold and said he is ready for World Cup football if Gareth Southgate picks him for the England squad.
He named Pep Guardiola as his choice for manager of the year, then he joked that he himself was close before giving credit to multiple other managers in the league.
Klopp was a bit annoyed by the question on whether he was frustrated at not wrapping up a top four place. Citing that he’d obviously rather have confirmed Champions League football by this point, but it doesn’t frustrate him that they haven’t.
