Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho met with the press ahead of their game against Arsenal on Sunday.
He immediately got asked to clarify his comments about it being him who bought Mohamed Salah a few seasons ago for Chelsea, but it wasn’t his fault that Salah was sold.
He got a little defensive, claiming that the media don’t like writing about the good things he does. Mourinho then went on to reaffirm that he was the one who originally brought the Egyptian to England although he did admit that he agreed with the decision to loan Salah out so he could develop, but he was sold after the Portuguese had left Chelsea.
The 55-year-old also said he hopes that Arsene Wenger gets a good reception from the Manchester United fans when Arsenal visit Old Trafford on Sunday. The encounter will be the final time that the Arsenal boss will take on his oldest rivals before stepping down in the summer.
Finally, he concluded the press conference by stating that there is no chance that David De Gea is leaving the club this summer.
