Jose Mourinho was happy with his side’s performance as they got back to winning ways in their New Years Day fixture against Everton.
United cruised to a relatively comfortable 2-0 win at Goodison Park thanks to second half goals from Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.
Speaking in his post match press conference, Mourinho told the media that he thought his side were in control for around the 70 minute mark before coming under a spell of pressure from Everton, describing the overall performance as ‘really good’
He also hit back at Paul Scholes’ recent comments about Paul Pogba, who put in a man of the match performance, claiming that all the former Man Utd player only ever criticises in his role as a pundit.
He neither confirmed nor denied whether the club would be making moves in the January transfer market, but hinted that they are ready to welcome any players if they can get them.
