West Ham manager David Moyes was obviously delighted after his side beat Premier League Champions Chelsea 1-0 at the London Stadium earlier today. The 54-year-old paid tribute to the spirit and organisational discipline his side showed throughout the game.
This was the former Everton and Manchester United managers first win since arriving in East London, although it wasn’t enough to take his side out of the relegation places, it is definitely a massive step in the right direction.
Moyes also said that the main thing he has worked on since joining the club has been making The Hammers more solid and difficult to beat, however as time goes by he hopes his team can eventually start to play a more attacking brand of football.
West Ham face Arsenal in their next Premier League fixture, but after this victory and their encouraging display against Man City last weekend they will be a lot more confident going into the game then they would have been a couple of weeks ago.
