WATCH: Conte interview after humiliating Watford defeat

Chelsea slipped to a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road tonight to further intensify the building pressure on their manager Antonio Conte.

The Italian coach admitted his team were poor right from the start of tonight’s Premier League fixture, and also conceded that he believes he made mistakes in terms of his team selection.

Chelsea’s poor start was compounded when France international midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko was sent off for two bookable offences after just a half an hour. Despite Eden Hazard looking like he had rescued a draw with a brilliant late equaliser, the home side would finish strongly and few could deny that they were good value for their win.

Conte’s position as manager of the Stamford Bridge club has been the subject of constant speculation over recent weeks and when he was asked about this after the game he was defiant, stating that he will continue to work hard, but if the club feel they need to make a decision in regards to his future that is up to them.
