Antonio Conte talked to the press ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Swansea on Saturday.
Conte said it’s going to be difficult against a relegation threatened Swansea but his team needs to pick up the points to keep the pressure on Tottenham in fourth place.
He admits that getting into the top won’t be an easy task, with the Blues currently five points behind their London rivals with just four games to play, but said that they have to try until the end of the season.
Conte also defended Chelsea’s decision to sell Mohamed Salah despite his brilliant season for Liverpool. He claimed that when they sold him, the Egyptian wasn’t the calibre of player that he is now and that he’s improved a lot since his Stamford Bridge departure.
When asked about Gary Cahill’s form and his chances of getting back in the England team, Conte said that Cahill is very experienced and is an important player for his club and country.
He also discussed the possibility of seeing David Luiz back in action before the end of the season, with the Brazilian having missed a large portion of the campaign through a knee injury.
