Fresh off the back of Cardiff City’s latest hammering, Neil Warnock has named the side who he thinks will win the Premier League.
The Bluebirds are one of the favourites to drop straight back down into the Championship this season, but after 10 Premier League games, they sit just outside of the relegation zone, although that is probably more to do with the woefulness of Newcastle, Huddersfield and Fulham.
However, the Welsh side have had to play against five of last season’s top six, and having seen them first hand, Neil Warnock has delivered his verdict on who will get their hands on the title next May.
“They’ve all got their strengths…we did ever so well against Manchester City, and I can remember thinking ‘We’re doing well here’…and then we were 3-0 down 10 minutes later!” Warnock said after the 4-1 defeat to Liverpool.
“Liverpool are back in the big time here for sure.
“But I think they have more of a chance in the Champions League if I’m being honest, and the cups.
“I just think Manchester City have that little bit more week in week out in the league. I do think Liverpool are the most improved team with the signings he has made, and heaven knows what happens if he makes one or two for next season…
“They’ve all got their strengths…and we have certainly not had much luck with the fixture list – I think the FA must have done it!
“They are such good teams we are playing against. We did ever so well against City, and I can remember thinking ‘We’re doing well here’…and then we were 3-0 down 10 mins later! It was the same against Liverpool, we gave ourselves a chance, but they were just too good.”
