Manchester United are now in pole position to complete the signing of Fulham’s teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon, according to reports in The Mirror.
The 17-year-old has long been talked about as one of England’s brightest young talents, and he will not come cheap with a transfer fee of £50 million being mooted.
Sessegnon plays mostly as a left-back, although he can also play further forward. Ever since he made his Fulham debut just a few days after his 16th birthday the talented youngster has impressed with his outstanding technical ability and searing pace.
Despite his tender age Sessegnon has already notched up almost 50 senior appearances, and has shown that he is well able to handle himself in the physically demanding Championship.
Tottenham have also been heavily linked with the player over the last 18 months, but now United are said to be favourites to land the gifted youngster, and the only question is whether the move will happen in January or next summer.
